Coming from an art background, Jo fell in love with hairstyling when she realized she could take the creativity she already loved and turn it into something that helps another person express exactly who they are. Her chair is a place for personality, experimentation, and hair that doesn’t have to play it safe.
Jo especially loves vivid hair color, rich reds and violets, creative color placement, and razor cutting. But her creativity isn’t limited to bold transformations. She also enjoys lived-in color, highlights, curly haircuts, and collaborating with guests to turn an inspiration—or several inspiration photos—into something completely their own.
In fact, one of Jo’s favorite long-term guests started with her very first razor cut. They worked through the design together, pulling elements from multiple inspiration photos to create an original haircut. What began as a learning experience turned into an ongoing stylist-client relationship and helped shape the collaborative way Jo still approaches hair today.
That collaboration starts with a thorough consultation. Jo wants to understand what you love, what you don’t, how you express yourself, and what you actually need from your hair before she starts creating.
