I love my job! Hair has been my passion since I was a small girl.
Cutting and coloring hair comes natural to me. Over my 10-year career, I have learned to work with all hair types; fine, thick, coarse, curly and coily and they all need their own special cut and color based on the individual wants and desires. I loving working with guests to find the right look for them, whether it be a new whole new look or just a small update. I am a licensed cosmetologist and hold certification in Brazilian Blowout, VoMor Extensions (tape in), and am currently working on getting certified in hand tied extension (booking starting May 2021).
A little background about me, after graduating from Central Michigan University I worked in sales, marketing and hospitality developing programs for youth and adults. After 10 years it was time for change. When opportunity arrived to go back to school for cosmetology, I jumped at the chance. I attended the Aveda Institute Denver and have been working in the beauty industry, behind the chair, for 10 years.
After three years behind the chair, and taking as many classes as possible, I was asked to join the education team at Centre. This gave me new focus and started working on my certifications to become an Aveda In-Salon Educator for Hair Color and Hair Cutting, while assisting the education team with our New Artist Program. Then in 2016, I was offered the position of Director of Education for Centre Salons, which brings in outside education to our Centre Salon family.
